Sense of security

The story about the latest security warnings continues to unfold. And here's an interesting and quirky blog.

In the echo chamber department, this story in the PG tells us that Rush Limbaugh and Michael Moore each attracts a like-minded audience, meaning that neither is likely changing any opinions. My only hope is that each man's partisans is willing from time to time to seek out contradictory opinions.

And does anyone think this is going to help John Kerry?

I would assume that the concert tour might be helpful for Kerry if the GOTV organizers are aggressive in both registering people to vote, and then following up with phone calls, reminders and transportation to the polling places. Young people, who are the biggest crowds for Dave Matthews, are saying that they are interested in voting this year, but we unfortunately have a horrendous turnout rate. So if this increases the pool of politically motivated individuals who are then aided in turning out to actually vote in numbers similiar to the rest of the population, then it could be extraordinarily usefl.

A valid point. In a tight election, nothing is more crucial then mobilizing voters.
