("The judgment of Paris Hilton")

I think you're one of the few who remembered Livia's caution to A.J. that "It's all a big nothing."

However, while A.J. may have temporarily become "the show's unlikely moral center" let's not forget that in true (cynical) Soprano's form, he was easily bought off by a gopher job that gave him proximity to celebrity (and a brand, spanking new BMW).

I'm sorry to say that I'm betting that Ms. Hilton's "transformation" will be similarly fleeting in nature.'Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439330154875628083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480995.post-24964955297357737112007-06-11T13:28:00.000-04:002007-06-11T13:28:00.000-04:00Well obviously having that many possible Tony-kill...Well obviously having that many possible Tony-killers in one room is overkill (pun intended), so it can just still be making the point that Tony will always be looking over his shoulder, or it's letting the audience choose between Tony lives (but always in fear of what's behind the door)or that one of the other diners offed him.

RE: The boat conversation

Yes, that's being discussed in a few places. Much of the diner scene is filmed from Tony's POV. And that's what Tony would have seen (boom - blackness/nothingness) if he was looking at the door when Meadow walks in and the guy shoots him as he comes out of the restroom.Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439330154875628083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480995.post-86215229807640422502007-06-11T13:15:00.000-04:002007-06-11T13:15:00.000-04:00Then again, there was a surreal quality to that wh...Then again, there was a surreal quality to that whole scene. It wouldn't have surprised me to have dead people walking around.

Someone over at The House Next Door speculated that Tony got whacked, based on Bobby's line in the boat that when you get killed, you probably don't hear it--everything just goes black. That's interesting.Jonathan Pottshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18433924194960127561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480995.post-30142317923211912092007-06-11T12:53:00.000-04:002007-06-11T12:53:00.000-04:00The attempt on Tony's life was season one. The same actor played him in the first part of season 6 during a brief sit down concerning the future of Vito. Apparently, he is the nephew of Phil. Phil's brother Nikki Senior was killed in 1976 in a car accident. The trucker was the brother of the guy who was robbed by Christopher in Season 2. Remember the DVD players? The trucker had to identify the body. The boy scouts were in the train store. And the black guys at the end were the ones who tried to kill Tony and only clipped him in the ear (was that season 2 or 3?).Mariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10439330154875628083noreply@blogger.com
