Enough already
I realize the Rooney family has done a lot of good for Pittsburgh over the years, but frankly, I've had just about enough of them lately. First, they suck $4 million from the public teat for an unneeded amphitheater next to Heinz Field (we won't even get into Heinz Field) and now Dan Rooney is getting sanctimonious over the ABC's risque promotion of "Desperate Housewives" during Monday Night Football. Get over it.

I can't imagine why the present administration (headed by a boring but manipulative Irish Catholic Democrat pol from the North Side) would give unlimited help to the Steeler administration (headed by a boring but manipulative Irish Catholic Dem pol from the North Side). Certainly this city isn't so parochial that taxpayer-killing deals are cut, stadia built and favors granted that no other bigwig local family would get.
Well, why can't I, an Irish Catholic Dem from the North Side, get any play, Mayor Smurphy?
