Odd, it is a Washington State Law, yet the Trib editorial talks about McCain-Feingold. Nobody mentions the specific state contribution reporting law that was violated. They have not stopped the talk show hosts from talking about it, just that they have to count it as a contribution. Finally, there was no incumbant. It was an initiavtive, that in the end, sadly, lost.
