I remember the boys discussing "Mighty Mouse" but I don't recall the "Underdog" reference.
Regarding "Batman", I do believe that Michael Keaton was an inspired choice, and I wish he had stayed with the franchise. As much as I enjoyed both of his Batman films, I think Christian Bale was given better material to work with.
Whoops, right, Mighty Mouse versus Superman. I just really despise the the idea of the live action Underdog.
I haven't seen the latest Batman (gotta Netfix it), but I agree that Michael Keaton was impressive as Batman. Of course, Tim Burton may have had something to do with it. The first Batman movie set a near perfect balance between being dark and being a comedy. I'm not sure I laughed the first time I saw it, but I think I howled the second time.

Yeah, but a live action "Underdog"? It so messes up that line from "Stand By Me".
